The said steel strip line is used to flatten the steel strip and recoil or slit the steel strip. The existing control system of the line is a analog control system. Faults chi hair straightener occurred frequently caused by the aging elements or connection. In this project, our task is to design electrical control system for three sections of the line to replace the exist control system. The first section is the pay-off reel section, the second is the No.1 pinch roll, the third section is the chi straightener flattener. The whole project is comprised by three sub-projects. Each sub-project is for one of said three sections. In each sub-project, a S7-300 PLC and a rectifier are involved. Each rectifiers are connected to a chi flat iron through Profibus. The three PLC are not yet connected to each other through Profibus. The three PLCs may be connected to polo shirts each through Profibus later. In this project, we are responsible for instrument control system. We control all pumps, vavles and ventilators. Level, temperature, conductivity, pressure are monitored and controlled by our system. In this project, a S7-400 chi flat iron , a industrial PC for Wincc, some ET-200, a PDA station are involved.
