For quite a long time, research on wireless location technology has been developed based on two key questions: One is how to acquire signal characteristic measured values from complicated wireless channel environment as accurate as possible, the other is designing dependable and available location schemes, methods and high-precision algorithms.In this thesis, main research is focused on hybrid location and tracking techniques based on single base station in cellular networks. Meanwhile, for the improvement of location accuracy and stability, the related issues, such as NLOS error mitigation, data fusion, extend Kalman filtering, measuring AOA and AOD by MIMO array antennas, have been investigated.
